Rosemarie Ndupuechi exemplifies the heart of the Black Men Teach mission through their commitment to empowering educators, students, and uplifting the community. Their work reflects the values of integrity, representation, and purpose that define who we are and what we stand for.
With a distinguished career spanning corporate leadership, nonprofit advancement, and entrepreneurial success, Rosemarie brings an exceptional depth of expertise to our mission of increasing the number of Black male educators in schools. She brings not only her nonprofit and corporate experience to Black Men Teach, but also her experience in the classroom.
Rosemarie taught 4th grade at Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School in New York City and served as an elementary school teacher trainer with the U.S. Peace Corps in the former Zaire, currently the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Her extensive corporate leadership experience includes holding several high-impact roles at Cargill: as Community Relations Director, and later as a National Account Manager in multiple divisions—including Cargill Kitchen Solutions, Cargill Foodservice North America, and Risk Management Division. Her ability to navigate both corporate and nonprofit sectors gives her a unique perspective in advancing mission-driven work.
“Rosemarie is a visionary leader whose passion for equity and community transformation aligns perfectly with our mission,” said Markus Flynn, Executive Director of Black Men Teach. “Her strategic insight and ability to build authentic relationships will be instrumental as we expand our reach and deepen our impact.”

I invite the community to advocate for our children by supporting the mission of Black Men Teach, which is to get Black Men teachers in our elementary classrooms.
Two things about the mission of Black Men Teach inspire me. The first is BMT is changing the narrative of who Black men are and what they do. Black Men Teach is projecting the image of Black men as educators, nurturers, and carers. The second is the mission invites the community to see the net positive in and for Black children, to inspire them to do and be better for themselves and their community.
Do it. If you want to create positive change and make an impact, there is no better way to do it than to open the mind of a young child, to help them to see beyond where they are and to achieve.
I am passionate about education and encouraging intergenerational wealth building in the Black community. I strongly believe that the path to wealth building is education and that is at the core of Black Men Teach, encouraging our children to reach for the stars when it comes to education. Knowledge is a super power.

My 8th grade math teacher, a Black woman, whose name escapes me, but whose face I can see and whose voice I can hear. She made me take the exam to go to Brooklyn Technical High School. I would not have taken the exam had she not said, "You'll take it." I scored well and got in. Mr. Malachias, my High School English teacher at Brooklyn Technical High School, who inspired me to love language and who I credit with me going to college. He encouraged me to complete the application to Allegheny College and I was accepted. I was in the 11th grade and I had no clue as to where I was going to go and how I was going to pay for it. My parents didn't know the system as they were immigrants from Jamaica and couldn't help me. These teachers not only took an interest in me, they did not allow me to skate by. They encouraged me to reach for the stars.
